Continuous rendering may be the logical approach when any of the following are part of your process:
You process more than 400,000 pounds of product per day
You process one product, for example from a slaughter operation
Your process day would be more than 16 hours per day
Your Meal will be sold as a commodity
Your Fat/Tallow will be sold as a commodity
You or your staff are experienced in rendering
Alloy has customers running more than one Continuous Cooking line in their facility.
Optimized Process
Continuous Processing has the following benefits:
Lower Connected Horsepower
Fewer Operators
Less Floor Space
Odor Control can be easier
Automation can be easier
Generally speaking, a Continuous Process has less connected horsepower
than an equal capacity Batch Process and requires less staff to operate the facility.
The combination of the two results in lower day-to-day operating expenses. Typically it also requires less floor space and is easier to automate than its
Batch counterpart.
While Alloy generally recommends Raw Product Pumps in conjunction with Continuous Cookers, we offer a wide range of filling options including the Option of Screw Conveyors in addition to raw product pumps.
