MEAL COOLING & STORAGE
Finished meal should be cooled prior to grinding. Cooled meal requires less horsepower, increases the throughput of the mill, and produces fewer fines, improving the quality of the finished meal.
In addition to all the heat of the cooking process, milling also heats the finished meal and regardless of whether the product is to be bagged or bulk stored it should be cooled first to avoid the potential of spontaneous combustion.
Traditionally cooling has been done in a Cooling Bin sized to hold several hours of production so it can cooled before milling.
Enter the Alloy Rotary Cooler, an automated cooling system that passes air through the product, carrying the heat out, leaving users with a meal that is safe to store.
